It’s about time I write this article!  Dontcha think!?

For all the talk about a vegan lifestyle, this blog has been slacking on sharing non-food-related stuff with you that I know you’ll fall in love with.

This list has ethical jewelry, clothing, shoe, and bag brands that are founded on sustainability and the promise of making the world a better place.

Fashion, mining, and other retail products have sucked the Earth of its natural resources for the sake of humans and our vanity.

These brands create products with the earth, future generations, animals lives, fair-trade, and eco-friendly efforts in mind, so we can still buy the things we love, but through a more intentional, compassionate path.

You better believe you’ll see promises like:

  • Recycled materials

  • Ethically sourced

  • Cruelty-free

  • Locally sourced

  • Fairly traded

  • Fairly crafted

  • Empowerment

  • Vegan

  • Cruelty-free

  • All natural

  • Ethical employment standards

  • Low impact

  • Deadstock

With all of these brands.

Get excited, because this list is about to change the way you shop!

4. Wawwa

Talk about an incredible brand, Wawwa is everything an ethical brand should aspire to be.

They also pushed forward with organic materials despite the fact that it was way more expensive than non-organic.

When Wawwa selects a manufacturer for their products, they go climate neutral whenever they can by selecting factories that use solar or wind power.

Get this...Wawwa has made shirts, totes, and sweatshirts from plastic bottles straight from the sea and hope to make all of their t-shirts made from this material very soon.

Wawwa is a PETA-approved, vegan brand that uses plant-based packaging AND donates a piece of clothing to a person in need with their 1+1 collection.

16. Rewilder

Rewilder is all about zero-waste fashion.  When I say all about it, I mean 100% of it!

Everything that Rewilder produces is made from discarded industrial materials as they try to “shift the conversation about trash from ‘where does this go?’ to ‘what can this become?’”

This female owned and operated company is redefining what it means to be a consumer in today’s world.

Rewilder creates jackets, travel bags, backpacks, clutches, dog leashes, and eco pins out of any of the following upcycled materials:

  • Beer filter cloth

  • Advertising mesh

  • Silver car covers

  • Airbag fabric

Instead of ending up in the landfill, Rewilder aims to repurpose our waste and turn it into something useful and reusable.

One of the most amazing things about Rewilder is their commitment to recycling through their “3X: Lifecycle Responsibility” initiative.  With this program, you can send back any Rewilder products if you’re not happy with them, would like them repurposed, or need a repair.  The team at Rewilder will repair them or reuse as much material as possible if being used for repurposing in order to uphold their mission of protecting the earth.

Your conscience will definitely be happy if you shop with Rewilder -- it’s a guarantee! :)

17. Native Shoes

The message behind the Native Shoes brand really warms my heart.

They say that we’re all native somewhere and we’re all native to Mother Earth, so we need to take care of her as she’s weighed down with our waste and overconsumption.

Instead of choosing to add to the pile, Native Shoes is making it lighter by promising to have all of their shoes be 100% life-cycle-managed by 2023 (The Remix Project).

That means that any time you’re done with a pair of Native Shoes, you can send them back and Native Shoes will repurpose them into a playground!

Native Shoes creates a shoe for every age -- babies, toddlers, kids, teens, and adults!

They believe that by introducing activism at a young age, we can raise the next generation to be thoughtful, kind, and curious eco-warriors.

Supporting Native Shoes is supporting Mother Earth!  Check ‘em out here!

18. Della

Della holds an incredibly special place in my heart because of its foundation in Ghana, one of my favorite countries in the world.

After living in Ghana for several months, I fell in love with the people, the culture, the colors, and the spirit.

Della Los Angeles seems to have done exactly the same thing.

Tina Tangalakis, co-founder of Della, participated in a volunteer program in Hohoe, Ghana, where she built lifelong friendships with locals who eventually became her business partners and team.

The company that Tina and Selorm “Nii” Adotey founded has turned into a beautiful concept that provides work opportunities, education, skills, and community for women of the area.

Della is full of locally sourced, vibrant items -- dresses, rompers, shirts, skirts, pants, shoulder bags, travel bags, laptop cases, headbands -- mirroring the incredible patterns seen throughout the Volta Region and the rest of Ghana.

The women who make Della what it is have learned a multitude of skills through their work with Della and it continues to empower them in making a difference in their local communities and the world.

Some of these initiatives include:

  • Weekly literacy classes

  • Weekly money-management training

  • Volleyball league

  • The Happy Kids program

  • Childcare

  • National Social Security

  • National healthcare benefits
